Mark your calendars because Community College Day at the Capitol is on January 30, 2019!

It's that time every two years when we storm Austin and show our legislators the value community colleges bring to our great state and our students.

The Texas Community College Association (TACC) is sponsoring and planning this great event. We hope that every community college can get involved in one way or another.

AGENDA at a Glance:

- 8:00 AM: Registration & Check-In
- Capitol South Steps
- Check-in, group photo assignments & material pick-up

- 8:30 AM:
- Capitol South Steps
- School photos

- 9:00 AM:
- Capital South Steps
- Welcome rally & press conference

- 10:00 AM:
- Student legislative meetings begin, visits to the House/Senate Galleries

- 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Lunch on Your Own
- REJ Conference Center
- Panel discussion with Policymaker(s) and community college leaders

- 3:00 PM: Day Concludes

Reminders:

- Please, wear suitable clothing for the weather that day;
- We will provide breakfast but not lunch;
- Please, wear your college shirts (or the shirt created for the event);
- Please, take lots of photos, use the provided hash-tags, and don’t forget to tag @TACC_News, your college, your representative, etc; and
- Your central hub is located at the REJ Conference Center.
