TACCM was born from the Texas Association of Community Colleges, better known as TACC, to give community college marketing professionals an outlet that would focus on the needs of these departments and to provide resources that would allow community college marketing departments to do their jobs for efficiently and effectively.
So, to help you better understand how TACCM can help shape marketing teams and its benefits, here are the Top 5 reasons why your team should join TACCM.
1.Network with like-minded individuals - Meet fellow community college marketers who are facing and overcoming the same obstacles you are and working toward similar goals.
2.Annual statewide conference - Gather with more than 200 other community college public relations, marketing, graphic design and web professionals to learn about new updates in the industry, best practices and to share new ideas. At the same time you get to see a new city, experience new adventures and eat great food.
3.Professional development - In addition to the information someone is exposed to during TACCM's statewide conference, there are also opportunities to participate, throughout the year, in online, lunch and learn sessions and to share professional development sessions happening across the state.
4.Regional meetings and open forums - As a member of TACCM, there is a chance to meet and bond with other TACCM members in your region with regional meet ups and conferences. Members also have access to TACCM email listserv to hold discussions or ask questions about things encountered as community college marketers.
